The competition started on July 2^nd when Samoa took on Japan in Tokyo, with a final score of 34-15. They moved on to take on the team they just booted out of the top ten, Fiji, in a match on July 9^th, but Fiji was able to beat them 36 points to Samoa's 18. Next up, Samoa takes on Tonga in the Pacific Nations Cup in a match in Lautoka in July 13^th and then they will take on Australia in Sydney coming up on July 17^th. Rugby World Cup 2011 matches scheduled include Samoa and Namibia on September 14^th, Samoa and Wales and Samoa and Fiji in Auckland.
