Jonathan Davies told Wales head coach Warran Gatland that he would be ready for the Six Nations match against Ireland. Davies suffered from a hamstring injury that kept him out of the game against Italy, when Wales came out on top. The 22 year old was put on the on the sidelines in the game against Leinster. However, Davies has been training hard and has been looking for a chance to prove himself. He said that he felt good, and he trained hard on Wednesday and is looking forward to a week of training to be ready for the game against Ireland.
Davies returning to the game will put James Hook in one of two positions. He will either be in the game as fly-half or will be benched. Also, Davies will be paired up once again with James Robert, where he and and center can continue the unbeatable midfield combination that they have had previously. Davies said that the two complemented each other really well, with both players bringing different things to do the table. About returning to the game, Davies also commented that he was ready to go in his opinion.
